The Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Motor Vehicles

With a new model released in 2011, the Hyundai Elantra is the Korean manufacturer’s most elegant and sporty sedan car to date. The Elantra has a fuel efficient engine that develops 148 horsepower, delivers more torque than any of its competitors, as well as an average fuel economy of 40 mpg. It is available with a manual six speed gearbox or an automatic six speed gearbox, and a choice of other styling and equipment options. In terms of exterior styling, the Elantra is much like a more compact version of the Hyundai Sonata. It shares the Sonata’s sleek and fluid lines but has a significantly smaller body. The Elantra differs with the Sonata most in terms of internal configuration and fittings, with a host of newly designed elements such as the new centre stack.

The Hyundai Elantra also boasts such features as an LCD information display, LED taillights, puddle lamps, heated rear seats, and HID headlights. This car has enlarged taillights and headlights in comparison to other vehicles by Hyundai, in order to improve both its functionality and its overall appearance too. It bears a similar looking grill to that of the Hyundai Tucson, while its fog lamps are a totally original design. While older models were criticized slightly for the car’s outward appearance, specifically that it was too box like and straight along its sides, the new model has been redesigned to address these concerns, with deeper, more attractive lines and an upward line along the sides that reaches back to the taillights, with a smaller quarter window at the rear to facilitate this last.
